STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS30766 / H0368
This is a FY 2024 trailer appropriation bill for the Judicial Branch. It addresses the fiscal impact of H348,
which increases pay for Supreme Court justices by 3.00% to $165,212; Court of Appeals judges by 4.5% to
$157,212; for district judges by 4.7% to $151,212; and magistrate judges by 8.2% to $143,212.
FISCAL NOTE
This bill provides an additional appropriation of $853,100 in ongoing personnel costs from the General Fund
to the Judicial Branch for FY 2024.
