STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS30248 / H0196
This bill requires signed parental permission for students to be able to participate in school clubs. It further
requires that the board approve and oversee the publishing of an annual list of all school clubs, advisors and a
description of the club and activities.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact to the state General Funds. However, this could require that a public school or school
district expend the equivalent of 5-7 hours to create new content to go on the local school or school district's
website regarding the required language. Once the initial information has been created, it should not take much
to maintain the information.
