STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS30422 / H0187
This bill is to encourage greater access of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in the public by removing
undue regulations for persons or businesses that have an AED. It adds stronger immunity protections
(commonly called “Good Samaritan laws”) for AEDs.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation causes no additional expenditure of funds at the state or local level of government, nor does it
cause an increase or decrease in revenue for state or local government. Therefore the legislation has no fiscal
impact.
