STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of this legislation is to add a lifetime trapping license to Idaho Code. Currently Idaho has lifetime
hunting and lifetime fishing licenses, and this bill adds a lifetime license for resident trappers in Idaho.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact to the state general fund or any local unit of government.
There is no additional cost to Idaho Department of Fish and Game to provide this type of licenses. The number
of lifetime trapping licenses purchased will determine the amount of dedicated funds to the department. All
revenue from lifetime license purchases will be added to the fish and game trust account and spending authority
must be granted by the legislature for use of dedicated funds.
