STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS29244 / H0527
This legislation allows for citizens to add the designation of a U.S. Citizen on their drivers license. Similar to
the star card, but is not as stringent to add it. All U.S. Citizens will be able to provide proof of citizenship and
the insignia would be then added to the drivers license.
FISCAL NOTE
The initial development costs would be approximately $24,000. The department would be able to use our
existing budget to cover these costs, so there would not be an impact to the General Fund.
