STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS29115C2 / S1258
Relating to State Hospitals and treatment facilities. Purpose is to cleanup conflicting provisions related to
authority of the Department of Health and Welfare and the Board of Health and Welfare with regard to state
hospitals and treatment centers and to provide appropriate references to the hospitals and centers throughout
the code.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no impact on the state’s General fund or any dedicated fund or federal fund because
the functional oversight of the hospitals and facility remains unchanged by this legislation. The Director will
continue to oversee these organizations.
