STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS29248 / H0488
This legislation would give a taxpayer standing in a civil complaint against a public school or institution of
higher learning if that entity fails to enforce Idaho Code 33-138 that prohibits them from compelling students
to affirm critical race theory or discrimination in public education.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact on the general fund or local governments. Any public school or institution of higher
learning could be subject to a financial penalty if found in violation of this legislation.
