It specifies that this information must also be included in communications from schools to parents or guardians and published on the internet sites of elementary and secondary schools, as well as licensed child care centers.

Additionally, the bill introduces civil penalties of $1,000 for violations related to the failure to provide the required exemption information. This applies to various entities, including child care centers, schools, community colleges, and institutions of higher education. The collected penalties will be deposited into the state's general fund. The bill also updates the definition of "eligible institution" under Iowa law to reflect these changes.
