This bill mandates the creation of a veterans benefits and services poster that employers must display in their workplaces. The director of the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing is tasked with consulting the Iowa department of veterans affairs to develop this poster, which will include essential information for veterans, such as resources for substance abuse and mental health treatment, educational and workforce training opportunities, tax benefits, vehicle registration services, unemployment insurance eligibility, and legal services.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that every employer, defined as a person employing fifty or more full-time employees, must display the poster in a conspicuous location accessible to all employees. The bill also amends existing law by adding chapter 91F to the Code, which outlines the responsibilities related to the poster and its content, ensuring that veterans are informed of the benefits and services available to them.
