This bill amends the smokefree air Act by eliminating the exemption that previously allowed smoking on gaming floors within licensed gambling establishments, such as casinos, excursion gambling boats, and racetracks. Specifically, it removes subsection 10 from Section 142D.4 of the Code, which previously permitted smoking in these areas.

As a result of this change, all premises licensed under Code chapter 99F will now be fully subject to the smoking prohibitions outlined in the smokefree air Act. This move aims to enhance public health protections by ensuring that smoking is not permitted in any part of these gaming facilities.
