House Resolution No. by Gaines and Lohse honors the Grand View University wrestling team for their remarkable achievement in winning the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) wrestling national championship for the 13th time on March 8, 2025. The Vikings dominated the competition, finishing with a total score of 209 points, significantly outpacing the second-place team by 60 points. The team celebrated the success of six individual national champions, which ties the NAIA record, and recognized the accomplishments of three additional wrestlers who earned All-American honors.

The resolution also acknowledges the exceptional leadership of head coach Nick Mitchell, who was named the 2025 NAIA National Coach of the Year, marking his ninth such honor in 17 years. The House of Representatives expresses its congratulations to the team for their historic achievements and instructs the Chief Clerk to send copies of the resolution to Coach Mitchell and Grand View University President Rachelle Keck.
