This bill amends Section 256E.8 of the Iowa Code to adjust the funding formula for charter schools. Specifically, it adds the "teacher salary supplement state cost per pupil" to the existing components that determine the amount a charter school receives for each student enrolled. The total funding for each student will now include the regular program state cost per pupil, the teacher leadership supplement, the professional development supplement, the early intervention supplement, and any applicable non-English speaking weighting.

The bill is effective immediately upon enactment and will apply to school budget years starting on or after July 1, 2025.
