This bill amends the smokefree air Act by removing the exemption that previously allowed smoking on gaming floors within licensed gambling establishments, such as casinos, excursion gambling boats, and racetracks. Specifically, it strikes subsection 10 of Section 142D.4 from the Code, which previously permitted smoking in these areas.

As a result of this amendment, all premises licensed under Code chapter 99F will now be fully subject to the smoking prohibitions outlined in the smokefree air Act. This change aims to enhance public health protections by ensuring that smoking is not permitted in any part of these gaming facilities.
