3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 1C.18 Metastatic Breast Cancer
2 Awareness and Action Day.
3 The governor of this state is hereby authorized and
4 requested to issue annually a proclamation designating the
5 thirteenth day of October as Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness
6 and Action Day.
7 EXPLANATION
8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
10 This bill designates October 13 of each year as Metastatic
11 Breast Cancer Awareness and Action Day. This designation does
12 not make October 13 a state holiday.
