AN ACT
REQUIRING THE NATURAL RESOURCE COMMISSION TO RESEARCH AND
DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS RELATING TO STATE PARK ACCESSIBILITY
FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 461A.3, Code 2024, is amended by adding
2 the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 3. The department shall research and
4 develop recommendations to increase the accessibility of people
5 with disabilities in state parks and public recreation. The
6 department shall provide public information on the department’s

7 internet site and in brochures about opportunities for people
8 with disabilities in state parks and public recreation.
