AN ACT
RELATING TO THE SALARIES OF ASSESSORS WHO ARE APPOINTED TO SERVE
A PREVIOUS ASSESSOR’S UNEXPIRED TERM.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 441.8, Code 2024, is amended by adding
2 the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. Notwithstanding a budget previously
4 established pursuant to section 441.16, if an assessor is
5 appointed to fill a vacancy, the conference board may establish
 House File 2269, p. 2
6 a salary for the newly appointed assessor in an amount the
7 conference board determines to be reasonable.
