1 Section 1. Section 8C.9, Code 2024, is amended to read as
2 follows:
3 8C.9 Repeal.
4 This chapter is repealed July 1, 2025 2035.
5 EXPLANATION
6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
8 The Iowa cell siting Act (ICSA) regulates the placement
9 of wireless facilities and associated infrastructure. Code
10 section 8C.9 currently repeals the ICSA on July 1, 2025. This
11 bill extends the future repeal date of the ICSA to July 1,
12 2035.
