1 Section 1. Section 331.304, subsection 10, Code 2024, is
2 amended by striking the subsection.
3 Sec. 2. Section 364.3, subsection 9, Code 2024, is amended
4 by striking the subsection.
5 EXPLANATION
6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
8 This bill relates to rent limitations on private properties.
9 Current law prohibits a county or city from adopting or
10 enforcing an ordinance imposing any limitation on the amount
11 of rent that can be charged for leasing private residential or
12 commercial property. The bill strikes the prohibitions.
