3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 Section 1. Section 272C.2, subsection 2, Code 2024, is
2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
3 NEW PARAGRAPH. h. Allow a licensee to apply ten hours
4 of continuing education credit or the equivalent obtained
5 in excess of the requirements for a renewal period to the
6 continuing education requirements for the following renewal
7 period.
8 EXPLANATION
9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
11 This bill requires a licensing board to allow a licensee to
12 apply 10 hours of excess continuing education credit or the
13 equivalent obtained in one renewal period to the next renewal
14 period.
