Your Committee on Legislative Management, to which was
referred H.C.R. No. 201 entitled:
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CANDIDA2E
ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE NOMINATION OF THE AUDITOR,
OMBUDSMAN, AND LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE BUREAU DIRECTOR,
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to establish a candidate
advisory committee for the nomination of the Auditor, Ombudsman
and Legislative Reference Bureau Director.
Your Committee did not receive any written testimony on this
measure.
Your Committee finds that the creation of a candidate
advisory committee for the nomination of the Auditor, Ombudsman,
and Legislative Reference Bureau Director will be a transparent
process that enables public input to ensure that the best
qualified individuals are selected for these legislative service
agency director positions.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Legislative Management that is attached to this
report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of
H.C.R. No. 201 and recommends its adoption.
