entitled:
‘HOUSE RESOLUTION URGING THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES,
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, AND JUDICIARY TO PRIORITIZE ENSURING
THAT CONTRACTS FOR GOVERNMENT SERVICES ARE ADEQUATELY
RESOURCED TO COVER THE COSTS OF PROVIDING THOSE SERVICES,”

The purpose of this measure is to urge the Department of
Human Services, Department of Health, and Judiciary to prioritize
ensuring that contracts for government services are adequately
resourced to cover the costs of providing those services.
Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure
from Hawaii Children’s Action Network Speaks!, AlohaCare, Child
and Family Service, and Hawaii Foocibank.
Your Committee received comments on this measure from the
Department of Human Services.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your
Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.R. No. 125 and
recommends its adoption.
