Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.R. No. 116
entitled:
“HOUSE RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO STUDY AND RECOMMEND SOLUTIONS TO RESOLVE SUPPLY CHAIN
ISSUES CAUSED BY BARGE DELAYS TO LANA’I,”
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to request the Department of
Transportation to conduct a study and offer recommendations
regarding means by which Lana’i’s supply chain issues caused by
barge delays due to poor weather and ocean conditions may be
resolved.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your
Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.R. No. 116 and
recommends its adoption.
