Your Committee on Health & Homelessness, to which was
referred H.C.R. No. 6 entitled:
“HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING THE MEMBERS OF HAWAII’S
CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO MONITOR THE ALLIANCE FOR
HIPPOCRATIC MEDICINE V. U.S. FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION AND
TAKE ACTION TO LIMIT THE CASE FROM FURTHER RESTRICTING ACCESS
TO SAFE ABORTION OPTIONS,”
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to urge the members of
Hawaii’s congressional delegation to monitor the Alliance for
Hippocratic Medicine v. U.S. Food and Drug Administration and take
action to limit the case from further restricting access to safe
abortion options.
Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure
from the American Association of University Women of Hawaii;
AlohaCare; Democratic Party of Hawaii; Hawaii State Democratic
Women’s Caucus; and nine individuals.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Health & Homelessness that is attached to this
report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of
H.C.R. No. 6 and recommends its adoption.
