The bill proposes the creation of an Italian-American culture specialty license plate in Florida, as outlined in a new subsection (136) added to section 320.08058 of the Florida Statutes. The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is tasked with developing the plate, which will feature the word "Florida" at the top and "Italian Heritage" at the bottom, with colors and design approved by the department.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the annual use fees collected from the sale of the Italian-American culture license plate will be distributed to Il Circola, Inc., a nonprofit organization. This organization is permitted to use up to 10 percent of the fees for administrative and marketing costs, while the remaining funds must be utilized to promote awareness and appreciation of Italian culture, arts, and language among individuals of all ethnic backgrounds. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
