This bill amends section 287.056 of the Florida Statutes to authorize the Department of Management Services to enter into state term contracts for building code inspection and debris removal services during a state of emergency declared by the Governor. The bill defines "natural emergency" to include events such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
