This bill establishes the State Immigration Enforcement Action Database, which will be created and administered by the State Board of Immigration Enforcement. The database is designed to compile and make publicly accessible information regarding immigration enforcement actions taken by state law enforcement agencies and private correctional service entities. Law enforcement agencies are required to submit specific information about individuals detained or arrested for immigration-related reasons within 48 hours, including personal details, dates and locations of arrests, and custody status. The board must then publish this information in the database within the same timeframe.

Additionally, the bill amends existing statutes to incorporate the new database and its requirements. It redesignates certain paragraphs in section 908.1031 and adds a new paragraph outlining the board's responsibilities regarding the database. It also updates a cross-reference in section 908.1032 to reflect the changes made in section 908.1031. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
