The bill amends section 121.055 of the Florida Statutes to make participation in the Senior Management Service Class compulsory for certain positions within the criminal conflict and civil regional counsel. Furthermore, the bill appropriates $1,226,804 in recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund for the 2026-2027 fiscal year to support retirement benefits for specified positions within the criminal conflict and civil regional counsel offices. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
