The Florida House of Representatives has introduced House Resolution HR 8063 to recognize Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) for its 50 years of service in Florida. Since the establishment of the first Ronald McDonald House in 1974, RMHC has been dedicated to supporting families during their children's healthcare journeys by providing essential services that remove barriers and promote healing. Over the years, RMHC has expanded its reach, operating more than 385 Ronald McDonald House programs and serving millions of children and families globally, with significant contributions from McDonald's and its customers totaling over $1 billion.

In Florida, RMHC operates 17 House and Family Room programs through eight local chapters, directly supporting families in need. In 2023 alone, these chapters provided 84,081 overnight stays and assisted 38,000 children and their families across the state. The resolution highlights RMHC's ongoing commitment to enhancing its programs and ensuring that every family has the resources necessary for the best health outcomes for their children, culminating in the formal recognition of their impactful service in Florida.
