The Florida House of Representatives has passed a resolution congratulating Nicklaus Children's Hospital on its 75th anniversary. Founded in 1950 and originally known as Miami Children's Hospital until its rebranding in 2015, it stands as South Florida's only free-standing pediatric hospital. The facility boasts a team of 850 physicians and over 500 pediatric subspecialists, making it home to the largest pediatric teaching program in the southeastern United States. Nicklaus Children's Hospital is recognized for its excellence in pediatric medicine, with many of its specialty programs consistently ranking among the best in the nation since 2008, according to U.S. News & World Report.

In addition to its impressive medical staff, Nicklaus Children's Hospital has expanded its reach through an extensive network of outpatient and urgent care centers across several counties in Florida and has served families from over 100 countries. The hospital recently opened the Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower, a state-of-the-art pediatric surgical facility, ensuring that children can receive expert care locally. With more than 30 pediatric specialties and key institutes dedicated to various health concerns, as well as a LifeFlight Critical Care Transport Program that saves nearly 4,000 children annually, the resolution acknowledges the hospital's significant contributions to pediatric healthcare over the past 75 years.
