This bill amends Florida statutes to expand the list of acceptable forms of identification for voter registration applicants. It adds United States passport cards, identification cards issued by federally recognized tribal nations or Indian tribes, and United States Merchant Mariner Credentials to the existing list of valid identification. Additionally, the bill requires that driver licenses issued to individuals who are noncitizens be marked with "NC" to denote their status.

The bill also reenacts certain sections of the law to incorporate these amendments, specifically referencing the updated identification requirements in relation to vote-by-mail ballots for first-time voters. The effective date for this act is set for July 1, 2025.
