This bill amends section 559.952 of the Florida Statutes, which pertains to the Financial Technology Sandbox and the confidentiality of certain records held by the Office of Financial Regulation. Specifically, it removes the scheduled repeal of the exemption that allows certain information related to Financial Technology Sandbox applications to remain confidential and exempt from public records requirements. The information that remains confidential includes reasons why existing laws prevent the availability of innovative financial products or services, evaluation factors, and plans for testing and monitoring these products.

Additionally, the bill clarifies that while the confidential information may be shared with appropriate state and federal agencies for investigative purposes, the Office of Financial Regulation is still permitted to disclose summaries of the innovative financial products or services. The act is set to take effect on October 1, 2025.
