This bill amends section 83.56 of the Florida Statutes to establish new requirements for landlords regarding the termination of rental agreements. Additionally, subsection (6) is added while renumbering the existing subsection (6) to (7). The bill emphasizes the importance of considering the circumstances of tenants with children or who are expecting, thereby ensuring they have adequate time to find alternative housing. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
