This bill amends section 1009.26 of the Florida Statutes to require state universities to waive certain fees for graduate students who hold a specified full-time equivalent appointment. Specifically, the bill introduces a new subsection (16) that mandates the waiver of fees outlined in section 1009.24(7)-(13) for graduate students with at least a 0.25 full-time equivalent appointment in roles such as graduate assistant, graduate research assistant, graduate teaching assistant, graduate research associate, or graduate teaching associate.

The bill also includes a redesignation of existing subsections (16) through (21) to subsections (17) through (22) to accommodate the new provision. The effective date for this act is set for July 1, 2025.
