The bill amends section 1009.26 of the Florida Statutes to require state universities to waive certain fees for graduate students who hold a specified full-time equivalent appointment. Specifically, it introduces a new subsection (16) that mandates the waiver of fees outlined in section 1009.24(7)-(13) for graduate students with at least a 0.25 full-time equivalent appointment in roles such as graduate assistant, graduate research assistant, graduate teaching assistant, graduate research associate, or graduate teaching associate.

Additionally, the bill redesignates the existing subsections (16) through (21) as (17) through (22) to accommodate this new provision. The effective date for this act is set for July 1, 2025.
