The bill establishes a new section, 456.601, in the Florida Statutes, which defines "medspa" as a medical spa facility that offers a combination of cosmetic and medical services under the supervision of a licensed physician. It specifies that medspas may provide traditional spa services and noninvasive cosmetic procedures, such as laser hair removal and cosmetic injections, but does not include a physician's office where such services are provided under direct supervision.

Additionally, the bill mandates that each medspa must prominently display on its website and within its facility the name, license number, and specialty certifications of the supervising physician, along with the names and locations of any additional medspas supervised by that physician. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
