The bill amends Section 564.05 of the Florida Statutes, which regulates the size of individual wine containers sold in the state. The amendment removes the requirement for containers to be "reusable" and maintains the maximum allowable capacity for individual wine containers at 1 gallon. It specifies that wine can still be sold in larger containers, such as a 5.16-gallon container or various sizes of glass containers (4.5 liters, 6 liters, 9 liters, 12 liters, or 15 liters). Additionally, it allows qualified distributors and manufacturers to sell wine in any size container to other qualified distributors or manufacturers.

The bill also reiterates that wine sold by licensed vendors for off-premises consumption must be in unopened original containers and establishes penalties for violations, classifying them as misdemeanors of the second degree. The effective date for this amendment is set for July 1, 2025.
