Upon completion of the plan, the DEP is tasked with submitting a report to the Legislature, specifically to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. This report must include recommendations for any statutory changes needed to achieve the identified recycling goals and strategies. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
