This bill amends section 163.3162 of the Florida Statutes to revise the definition of "farm product" to include "plants and plant products," regardless of their edibility, as well as any animal useful to humans and products derived from them. Additionally, the bill stipulates that the collection, storage, processing, and distribution of farm products are activities of bona fide farm operations that cannot be prohibited, restricted, or regulated by governmental entities, provided these activities adhere to best management practices or are regulated by federal or state agencies.

Furthermore, the bill reenacts a reference to the amended definition of "farm product" in section 163.3177, which pertains to rural agricultural industrial centers. These centers are defined as developed parcels of land in unincorporated areas that host agricultural industrial facilities employing at least 200 full-time workers and processing farm products or biomass materials for fuel production. The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
