This bill amends section 163.3162 of the Florida Statutes to revise the definition of "farm product" to include "plants and plant products" and any animal useful to humans, regardless of whether they are edible or nonedible. Additionally, the bill stipulates that the collection, storage, processing, and distribution of farm products are activities of bona fide farm operations that cannot be prohibited, restricted, or regulated by governmental entities, provided these activities adhere to best management practices or are regulated by federal agencies.

Furthermore, the bill reenacts a portion of section 163.3177 to incorporate the updated definition of "farm product" in the context of rural agricultural industrial centers. These centers are defined as developed parcels of land in unincorporated areas that host agricultural industrial facilities employing at least 200 full-time workers and processing farm products or biomass materials for energy production. The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
