This bill amends section 1009.26 of the Florida Statutes, specifically regarding the waiver of out-of-state fees for students attending state universities, Florida College System institutions, and career centers. The bill deletes existing provisions that allowed for the waiver of out-of-state fees for certain students, including those who are undocumented for federal immigration purposes. As a result, these students will no longer be eligible for the out-of-state fee waiver based on their attendance at a Florida secondary school and other criteria previously outlined in the law.

Additionally, the bill introduces a severability clause, ensuring that if any part of the act is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will still be enforceable. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
