                                        SUMMARY ANALYSIS
HB 7035 passed the House on January 18, 2024, as SB 80.
During the 2023 Regular Legislative Session, the Legislature passed HB 1537 (ch. 2023-39, L.O.F.), which,
among other things, directed the Division of Law Revision to prepare a reviser’s bill to replace the term
“professional development” with the term “professional learning,” wherever it appears in chapters 1000 through
1013 of the Florida Statutes.
The bill makes conforming changes directed by HB 1537 and includes an additional conforming change to s.
1015.04, F.S.
The bill has no fiscal impact.
The bill was approved by the Governor on Februrary 15, 2024, ch. 2024-5, L.O.F., and will take effect on the
60th day after adjournment sine die.
