2 An act relating to the Sunshine State One-Call of
3 Florida, Inc., board of directors; amending s.
4 556.103, F.S.; requiring a certain number of
5 underground utility and excavation contractors
6 recommended by the National Utility Contractors
7 Association of Florida to be voting members of the
8 Sunshine State One-Call of Florida, Inc., board of
9 directors; providing an effective date.

11 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13 Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 556.103, Florida
14 Statutes, is amended to read:
15 556.103 Creation of the corporation; establishment of the
16 board of directors; authority of the board; annual report. —
17 (2) The membership of the corporation shall elect a board
18 of directors to administer the system. The board of directors
19 must include as voting members at least two underground utility
20 and excavation contractors, as defined in s. 489.105(3)(n), who
21 are licensed in the state. The National Utility Contractors
22 Association of Florida shall provide recommendations to the
23 membership of the corporation for the appointment of the two
24 licensed underground utility and excavation contractors.
25 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
