1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to public safety; repealing ss 1-36,
3 ch. 2023-18, relating to provisions for assistance for
4 private schools in complying with a certain statute;
5 revising the name of a guardian program; authorizing a
6 private school to request the sheriff to establish a
7 guardian program; revising the training program hours
8 required for school employees to be certified as
9 school guardians; authorizing a person to carry a
10 concealed weapon or concealed firearm if he or she is
11 licensed to do so or meets specified requirements;
12 prohibiting a person who is carrying a concealed
13 weapon or concealed firearm without a license from
14 carrying such weapon or firearm in specified
15 locations; authorizing a nonresident to carry a
16 concealed weapon or concealed firearm in this state if
17 he or she meets the same requirements as a resident;
18 requiring each law enforcement agency in this state to
19 create and maintain an active assailant response
20 policy by a specified date; requiring the Office of
21 Safe Schools to develop a behavioral threat management
22 operational process; authorizing a private school to
23 partner with a law enforcement agency or security
24 agency for specified purposes; revising information
25 included in verified reports of serious or recurrent

26 behavior patterns; requiring a charter school
27 governing board to establish a threat management team;
28 requiring the Department of Education to establish the
29 Florida Safe Schools Canine Program; providing
30 reporting requirements for certain school safety
31 incidents; providing an effective date.

33 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

35 Section 1. Sections 1 through 36 of chapter 2023-18, Laws
36 of Florid are repealed.
37 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
