8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 938.06, Florida
11 Statutes, is amended to read:
12 938.06 Cost for crime stoppers programs.—
13 (1) In addition to any fine prescribed by law, when a
14 person is convicted of any criminal offense, the county or
15 circuit court shall assess a court cost of $40 $20.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
