2 An act relating to mergers and acquisitions reporting;
3 creating s. 542.275, F.S.; requiring certain entities
4 to submit to the Office of the Attorney General
5 written notice of a specified federal filing relating
6 to mergers and acquisitions; providing an effective
7 date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11 Section 1. Section 542.275, Florida Statutes, is created to
12 read:
13 542.275 Mergers and acquisitions reporting; notice
14 required.—Any entity conducting business in the state which is
15 required to file the Notification and Report Form for Certain
16 Mergers and Acquisitions pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino
17 Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, 15 U.S.C. s. 18a(a), shall
18 provide written notice of such filing to the Office of the
19 Attorney General at the same time that notice is filed with the
20 Federal Government.
21 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
