House Amendment – 469845 adds a new section to the bill to provide that an operator of a
public lodging establishment may not offer an hourly rate for an accommodation. However, an
operator may charge an hourly rate for late checkout fees. The amendment changes the title of
the bill from an act relating to tenant safety to an act relating to lodging standards.
