The bill defines the Downtown Arena as a sports and entertainment venue located at 601 F St. N.W. and the Southeast Arena at 1100 Oak Dr. S.E. The bill also updates the definition of "playing field or playing surface" to encompass the areas within the seating facilities of the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, the Baseball Stadium, the Soccer Stadium, the Downtown Arena, and the Southeast Arena. This amendment aims to enhance safety and security at these venues by clearly delineating authorized access to playing surfaces. The act will take effect following the Mayor's approval and a 30-day congressional review period, and it is set to expire after 225 days.
