Ms. Smith, a resident of Ward 7, has over ten years of experience in the food and nutrition industry, currently serving as the Strategic Manager of Nutrition Services for Fresenius Medical Care, overseeing nutrition services at more than 20 dialysis facilities in the DC metropolitan area. Her extensive background includes project management, technical writing, and a focus on improving patient outcomes through nutrition.

The proposed resolution confirms Ms. Smith's appointment to the Board of Dietetics and Nutrition for the remainder of an unexpired term ending March 12, 2028. The resolution will take effect immediately upon adoption by the Council of the District of Columbia, and a copy will be transmitted to both the nominee and the Office of the Mayor. The legal sufficiency of the resolution has been reviewed and found unobjectionable by the Office of the General Counsel to the Mayor.
