Specifically, the bill allows for the forgiveness of up to $377,000 in real property taxes, interest, penalties, fees, and related charges for Fiscal Year 2026, provided that the property is occupied by Avanti Real Estate Services, LLC and is utilized for purposes related to real estate and brokerage services, including employment and educational opportunities in the real estate industry.

Additionally, the bill mandates the cancellation of any tax sales conducted to collect the forgiven delinquencies, as specified in the current law. The act is set to take effect upon approval by the Mayor and will remain in effect for a maximum of 90 days, in accordance with the emergency provisions outlined in the District of Columbia Home Rule Act.
