Mayor Muriel Bowser has submitted a request to the Council of the District of Columbia to reprogram $9,098.95 of Fiscal Year 2025 Special Purpose Revenue Funds within the Department of Parks and Recreation. This reprogramming is necessary to cover various agency expenses, specifically for judgments and indemnities. The request is in accordance with the Reprogramming Policy Act of 1980 and aims to ensure that the Department can effectively manage its logistics and operations without delays.

The Chief Financial Officer, Glen Lee, has reviewed the Mayor's request and confirmed that the reprogramming does not exceed the $500,000 threshold requiring Council approval, although it will result in a cumulative budget change exceeding that amount due to a prior reprogramming from the same department. The Office of Budget and Planning has indicated that this reprogramming will not adversely affect the Department's budget or the District's financial plan, and the CFO has expressed no objections to the request.
