Mayor Muriel Bowser has submitted a request to the Council of the District of Columbia to reprogram $1,800,000 of Fiscal Year 2025 Special Purpose Revenue Funds within the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED). This reprogramming is necessary to allocate funds for the Grants & Gratuities for Development & Disposition program, as the funds were initially placed in the Contractual Services line during a budget modification. The request aims to move these funds to the appropriate line item for grants, ensuring that the agency's expenditures align with its spending plans.

The Chief Financial Officer, Glen Lee, has reviewed the Mayor's request and confirmed that the reprogramming will not adversely impact DMPED's budget or the District's financial plan. The reallocation of funds is intended to facilitate the reimbursement of Contingency Cash provided to the agency and to ensure that the agency can meet its programmatic needs without delays. The reprogramming is supported by the Office of Budget and Planning, and no new programs or changes to allocations denied by the Council are being established through this action.
