The Streatery Program Endorsement Extension and Medical Cannabis Clarification Congressional Review Emergency Amendment Act of 2025 amends section 25-113 of the District of Columbia Official Code to extend the Streatery Program endorsements through December 31, 2025. The bill modifies the endorsement deadlines for certain classes of licensees by replacing the years 2022 and 2023 with 2022, 2023, 2024, and through December 31, 2025. Additionally, it specifies that the fee for 2025 is due by April 1, 2025, for most licensees, while certain on-premises retailer and manufacturer licensees have a deadline of September 30, 2025.
Furthermore, the bill makes clarifying amendments to the Legalization of Marijuana for Medical Treatment Initiative of 1999. It adjusts the distance restrictions for retailers and internet retailers from schools and recreation centers, allowing those who applied for licenses before a specified date to locate within 300 feet instead of the standard 400 feet. It also permits unlicensed establishments that applied during a designated open application period to locate within 300 feet of these facilities if they are situated on commercially or industrially zoned land.
